- Legends and Traditions of St. John
This is a thorough treatment of the Apostle John whose life is intertwined with that of Christ, as one of the inner core and as the disciple "that Christ loved." He became a leader in the early church and penned the Fourth Gospel. Three of his letters are included in the New Testament, and his culminating writing of The Revelation during his last days in exile on the Island of Patmos. The author includes some of the legends and traditions attaching to St. John. The writing is aimed at the young, but is not juvenile, but clear and easy to understand. - Summary by Larry Wilson
