  • Epilogue
The book follows the life and times of David Grieve, from his childhood on a remote farm in the Peak District to Manchester, Paris and back to Manchester again. David is an orphan whose life is inextricably bound up with his wild sister Louie. We move from his miserable upbringing to his first successes in business to his adventures in Paris and back to a more settled life until tragedy overtakes him. (Summary by Simon Evers)
